Portishead Marina

view of the marina at Portishead

Portishead Quays Marina opened in May 2001 after extensive building and refurbishment works costing c£500 million. It was the first time in 150 years that leisure craft were allowed into the docks and is one of the best equipped marina facilities in the South West. In summer 2008 a number of cafes and restaurants opened on the water's edge including Jacks and The Lockhouse. The well known Italian restaurant, Bottelinos is currently under construction opposite Waitrose at the edge of the marina.

Portishead is ideally situated for visiting nearby Bristol, Cardiff and Gloucester which also have marinas.
